TradeSnaps was a branding project that I created in my current position at Millionaire Publishing. TradeSnaps was an app within a series of other products that we were putting together for a promotion. The idea of the app was that you could take a picture of a company or logo and then it would bring up all of the stock trading stats for that company. For the branding I wanted to do something with variable values of green. I was inspired by a lot of early Nikon ads, and I thought it would be cool to tie in the camera aspect in that subtle way. For the app favicon I wanted to bring in some aperture blades, and then also tie that back into a version of the logo as well. I took a few screen grabs from my working files when developing the logo, and you can see that I was experimenting with different typefaces and different aperture shapes to see what worked the best together and what could stand alone.
